Suspect arrested in hit-and-run from last month
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A suspect has been arrested in a hit-and-run involving a car that crashed into two bicyclists in Marathon County in early May. Lt. Steven DeNovi of the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department said the suspect is a 42-year-old man from Shiocton. “I just got done speaking with him and he told me he thought he hit a mailbox,” Lt. DeNovi said. Investigators said the suspect’s name will be released after his first court appearance.

Faith in Action Marathon County seeks a volunteer to help with its intake process. Intake volunteers are responsible for completing a home visit with new care recipients. The home visit can be completed in person or over the phone. The intake volunteer will assess whether the care recipient will be a good fit for our program based on his or her needs and answer any questions he or she may have. Once the home visit is completed, the intake volunteer will write a summary and return it to the FIAMC office.
