Washington — The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered lower courts to take another look at challenges to several federal and state firearms restrictions in the wake of its ruling upholding a law that bans people subject to domestic violence restraining orders from having guns.The cases had been pending before the court for months while it considered the constitutionality of the 30-year-old law that disarmed alleged domestic abusers. Owego man faces multiple charges after drug investigation
OWEGO, NY (CortacaToday) – A Tioga County man awaits his day in court. Shawn Terry, 50, was arrested by Owego Police last week after a drug investigation on East Main Street. Terry is charged with two counts of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, and a single felony count of criminal possession of a weapon. Terry additionally faces two misdemeanors of criminal use of drug paraphernalia for scales and packaging. He will appear in court at a later date.
