Deceased Man Found on Carpentersville Roadside: Unidentified Body Found Near Route 31
Carpentersville, IL – The Carpentersville Police Department is investigating the discovery of a deceased male found early Tuesday morning on the side of Main Street hill, east of Route 31. The body, identified as a white male with dark brown hair in his late 30s or early 40s, was discovered by a passerby around 3:30 a.m. The roadway was temporarily closed for evidence collection but has since reopened.
Semi Truck Accident without Injuries
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified about a single semi-truck accident located just off the southbound ramp of Highway 151 Exit 1. Mykhailo Klym, a 31-year-old from Carpentersville, IL, was driving a 2014 Freightliner semi and trailer belonging to Ksenia Logistics when he lost control while navigating the curve on the ramp. The semi veered into a ditch and traveled down an embankment for about 100 feet before stopping in a cluster of trees. Fortunately, Klym sustained no injuries, although the semi suffered moderate damage.
