Apple cider donuts have become synonymous with the arrival of Fall in Virginia. However, Richmonders can get apple cider donuts from the First Stop Donuts Bus all year round.

About First Stop Donuts

Evan Taylor, the owner and driver of the First Stop Donuts bus, shared his story about how apple cider donuts came to Richmond.

Evan left his comfortable and lucrative marketing job to bring his favorite donuts to the people of RVA. He found a short school bus named Flubert and converted it into an armored donut transport vehicle.

After perfecting his recipe, he began serving hot apple cider donuts made fresh right inside his converted school bus in October 2019. Since then, he has served at farmers markets, parks, breweries, neighborhoods, weddings, The State Fair of Virginia, and many other places across Richmond, Virginia.

About the Apple Cider Donuts

Apple Cider Donuts are cake doughnuts that get their flavor from cinnamon, nutmeg, and apple cider used in the batter. Then, they are served hot.

Because Evan has a strong belief in simplicity and doing a few small things well instead of a bunch of things halfway, he decided to serve only apple cider donuts. He said his donuts deserve a food truck all to themselves.

The small/medium-sized donuts come in 6 to a bag for $8 or a dozen for $12.
