Search for family’s sailboat finds 2 children dead; father still missing
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY/Gray News) – Two children were found dead and their father is still missing after they disappeared during a boating trip off the Wisconsin coast. Searchers scoured the Bay of Green Bay for Bill Salnik, 32, and his children, who were 3 and 5 years old.
Court Appearances Held for Two Arrested in Manitowoc Drug House Bust
A 53-year-old Manitowoc woman and a 42-year-old Two Rivers man are each facing multiple drug charges following a drug house bust in Manitowoc last Friday. Sarah Jane Christensen has been charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and being the Keeper of a Drug House, while Joesph Greg Rochon has been charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a schedule I or II Narcotic, namely Fentanyl, a schedule I or II narcotic in jail and felony bail jumping.

FOND DU LAC – Three suspects have been arrested in the 18 Hands Ale Haus robbery that occurred June 24, Fond du Lac Police Department said in a news release July 16. The robbery had occurred around 8:40 p.m. at the bar at 18 E. Division St., during which a staff member was thrown to the ground before the suspects left with an undisclosed amount of cash, the department said.

Crew of Two Rivers charter fishing boat safe after weekend explosion
TWO RIVERS – A charter fishing boat crew is safe after an explosion on the boat caused a fire July 13 in the Two Rivers harbor. According to a news release from the Two Rivers Fire Department, the 32-foot charter fishing boat was fully engulfed in flames with heavy black smoke by the time the first fire vehicles arrived at the boat's location.
7-17-24 arrests made in connection with fdl tavern robbery
Three Manitowoc residents, two adults and a juvenile have been arrested in connection with a robbery last month of a downtown Fond du Lac tavern. The robbery occured June 24th at the 18 Hands Ale Haus on East Division Street. A staff member was thrown to the ground and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. Following up on tips police have arrested a 26 year old Manitowoc man and 23 year old Manitowoc woman on charges of party to a crime of robbery. Police say a search of a Manitowoc home located evidence of the robbery. A 16 year old Manitowoc juvenile was also arrested.
Two injured in STH 57 crash
Two drivers were transported to Green Bay hospitals on July 11th after a three-vehicle crash that flipped one of them. The accident occurred after 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of State Highway 57 and County DK. According to the incident report, a Sturgeon Bay man was trying to cross STH 57 from County DK when he was struck on the passenger side of his truck in the southbound lanes by a Sturgeon Bay woman. The crash's impact flipped the truck onto its side, causing it to slide across the lane. It also caused the other driver, traveling in a sports utility vehicle, to crash into a third car waiting at the stop sign. On July 12th, the Sturgeon Bay man told authorities that he was stopped in his truck in the median and never saw the sports utility vehicle before it struck him. He was cited for a failure to yield to oncoming traffic. Both the man and the woman were transported to Green Bay hospitals for treatment for suspected minor injuries, and their vehicles were towed. The third driver, a Forestville woman, was not injured in the crash and could drive away from the incident. Traffic was reportedly heavy at the time of the crash, leading to a partial closure of the roadway for over an hour while crews cleaned up.
