An extremely drunk 29-year-old man had to be restrained in a headlock after he attacked his father and was “threatening to kill everyone” in his Maricopa Meadows home, according to police.

Alexander S. Joubert faces charges of domestic violence assault, disorderly conduct, criminal damage and threatening and intimidating, which could land him in prison for three to five years.

Maricopa police report they responded Wednesday to a disturbance at a home on West Dirk Street.

When they arrived, Joubert was found being restrained by a roommate, police said.

Victims said Joubert became violent when he was denied access to more alcohol and tried to fight his father “who is trying to help him.” He broke through a locked door, forcing it open to assault his father, police said.

There were children in the home who could hear the disruption, but they were unharmed, police said.
