    Nicholas Renteria of Acworth graduated from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts during the 144th Commencement at Agganis Arena in Coston on May 12. Renteria received a BA in Media Arts Production.Payton O’Connor of Acworth was offered a transfer scholarship by Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee for the fall 2024-2025 academic year.William Kilpatrick of Marietta was named to the Dean’s list for the spring 2024 semester at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware.The following local students were named to the Dean’s list for summer 2024 at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega - Sara Tilton of Acworth; William Moore, Tyran Wisniewski, Morelia Ramirez and Conor Haughey, all of Marietta; and Kyra Palmer, Rufus Asemota and Taylor Boykin, all of Powder Springs.The University of North Georgia announced the following local students graduated on July 26 during the summer 2024 commencement ceremony at the Convocation Center at the university’s Dahlonega campus: Acworth residents - Kaitlin Fortney graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Shelby Knighton graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching/History. Kennesaw residents – Elnora Farmer graduated with a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership & Practice and Henry Huang graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Marietta residents – Joshua Ezenweani graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Renee Gluzman graduated with a Master of Public Administration in Public Administration, Tonekia Phairr graduated with a Graduate Certificate in Tier II Education Leadership, Anton Reale graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Brent Rodgers graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Health & Fitness Concentration. Powder Springs resident Moza Benniman graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Forensics Concentration. Smyrna resident Madelene Pierce graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Forensics Concentration.The following local students were named to the President's list for summer 2024 at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega - Tara Haughey of Marietta and Moza Benniman of Powder Springs.
