Greater Community Church Hosts Women’s Empowerment Summit

MARIETTA — Greater Community Church of God in Christ is hosting its annual Women’s Empowerment Summit on Aug. 22-24. The conference will take place at Greater Community Church, but is being brought by an organization called You Are My Sister (Y.A.M.S.) The head of the organization is Barbara Jackson-Sago of Memphis, Tennessee. The conference will feature various inspirational speakers addressing topics related to Women’s issues and empowerment.

Workshops will be conducted during the day with a nightly worship service. Featured Speakers include Dr. Valerie Daniels-Carter of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who is a very successful business owner and franchise owner. She is a partial owner of the Milwaukee Bucks Basketball Team and the Green Bay Packers. Also featured will be Evangelist LaShun Berry Dillard of Memphis, Tennessee.

Night services are free and open to the public. Worship begins at 7 p.m.
