Marietta Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Struck by Car

A Marietta man was seriously injured after being struck by a car in east Cobb Sunday afternoon.

William Cahill, 32, of Marietta, was attempting to cross Woodlawn Drive near the Woodlawn Square Shopping Center when he was struck by a maroon 2005 Toyota RAV4 at about 12:54 p.m., according to the Cobb Police Department.

Police say the driver, Vickie Morrisett, 62, of Marietta, was heading southbound on Woodlawn Drive as Cahill was attempting to cross outside a crosswalk from the west side of the street.

Cahill suffered serious injuries and was transported to Kennestone Hospital by ambulance. Morrisett was uninjured.
