Tracy Beam, 60; service July 27
Tracy Curry Beam, 60, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Duke University Hospital. A memorial service to honor Tracy’s life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 27th, at Munden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service. Tracy will be laid to rest at Gethsemane Memorial Park. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through her obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. MOREHEAD CITY — Carterican captured the fourth annual Big Rock Kids Billfish Tournament Sunday after releasing seven sailfish. The Morehead City boat, captained by Lee Smith, won $28,600 from the tournament’s $78,475 purse after winning the Level I and II billfish release divisions, plus the Level III Sunday Winner Take All Daily Release.

MOREHEAD CITY — After losing three straight games and eight of their last 10, the Marlins received a bump with a 2-1 mark in their last three. They won back-to-back contests, taking a 11-3 victory over the Tri-City Chili Peppers and a 3-0 triumph over the Greenville Yard Gnomes before suffering a 12-9 setback to the Holly Springs Salamanders.
