New Bern man accused of trying to kill three Onslow County deputies
ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Deputies say a New Bern man is accused of trying to kill three Onslow County deputies over the weekend. John Nigh is charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of assault on a law enforcement officer by pointing a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer, and shooting within 500 feet of a dwelling.

CAPE CARTERET — Cape Carteret will soon close on a deal to sell a 1.1-acre piece of a triangular residential property it bought in December 2023 at 100 Taylor Notion Road.
