Person killed on LA Highway 1192 identified

AVOYLLES PARISH, La. ( WNTZ ) – On July 22, 2024, The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) responded to a report of a deceased person at a residence on LA Highway 1192 in Marksville, La.

The deceased subject was later identified as Gary P. Normand of Marksville. Further investigation revealed suspicious circumstances. The ongoing death investigation is being conducted by the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Avoyelles Parish Coroner’s Office.

Normand’s body has been sent for an autopsy. We are continuing to follow up on leads as they develop.

Any assistance or information pertaining to his death, the identification of the person(s) involved, or any witnesses, would be greatly appreciated.
