MARQUETTE, Mich. (WJMN) — The passenger of a pickup was hurt after that vehicle crashed with a semi truck on Monday morning in Marquette.

According to a release from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, first responders were dispatched to a call for a two-vehicle crash shortly before 9:45 a.m.

Once there, they discovered a pickup truck with a passenger and 55-year-old driver had crashed with a semi, driven by a 27-year-old man, while both were travelling west on US-41 between Marquette and Negaunee.

The passenger, who police did not provide identifying details of, was removed from the truck after becoming entrapped in the crash. They were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck was cited for careless driving.
