Appliance Fire Causes ~$100,000 in Damage
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the 1500blk of Grandin Ave, off Broadwood Dr in Rockville on Wednesday for the report of a house fire. According to MCFRS Spokesperson Pete Piringer on Thursday morning, the fire started on an entertainment center with several potential ignition sources, including a television, VCR, cable box, and router. The fire was ruled accidental, but the specific appliance that caused it could not be determined.

BALTIMORE -- Jason Billingsley, charged in the murder of 26-year-old EcoMap Tech CEO Pava LaPere, appeared in a Baltimore courtroom Thursday where his lawyer fought to suppress statements Billingsley gave to police following the brutal crime.
