Gunfire strikes residence during Germantown shooting
Montgomery County detectives are investigating a shooting in Germantown on Wednesday night in which bullets struck a residence, according to police. Police said Thursday in a statement that a preliminary investigation revealed a residence was struck during the incident in the 20000 block of Staffordshire Drive and the shooting suspects had fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
Germantown Teen Sentenced to Serve 15 Years in Fatal Shooting
A third co-defendant has been sentenced in a 2022 fatal shooting in Germantown, according to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office (MCSAO). Daylon Miller, 19, of Germantown, was sentenced Thursday to serve 15 years in prison and five years of probation after release. The judge recommended Miller be admitted to the Patuxent Youthful Offenders Program while incarcerated.

DETROIT, Mich. (WWJ) - Authorities have reopened the cold case of Cassandra Durham, a 19-year-old Maryland girl who was reported missing after heading to Northern Michigan to visit her boyfriend's family. In the summer of 1987, Durham and her boyfriend left their Baltimore home to visit his grandparents in Roscommon.

BALTIMORE - Amtrak on July 18 unveiled new renderings of the future West Baltimore MARC Station that will be built as part of the Frederick Douglass Tunnel Program.
