Akron City FC Defeats Southern Indiana Guardians FC in Great Lakes Conference Action
Two games in three days were no problem for Akron City FC as the team found wins in both outings against Southern Indiana Guardians FC. On Friday, June 28, ACFC dogpiled onto SIGFC on the road, taking them down by a score of 5-1. After the triumphant win, the team then continued to excel as they hosted SIGFC at Green Street Stadium on Sunday.
USI Basketball teams give back with Young and Established
EVANSVILLE, Ind. - University of Southern Indiana Women's and Men's Basketball teams have already been putting in work for the 2024-25 season during summer workouts. Both squads have also been giving back to the community through service work this summer. Recently, the Screaming Eagles partnered and helped serve with Young and Established in Evansville.
Gutwein named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team
EVANSVILLE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Women's Golf Halle Gutwein (DeMotte, Indiana) was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association Scholar All-American team. Gutwein met the requirements of the award by exceeding an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, being an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season, along with playing in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
