Veo Optics expands to Petaluma’s American Trust Building
If you go James Peo founded Veo Optics in 2009 and functions mostly as an opticians’ eyewear store that carries popular brands like Celine, Bottega Veneta, Dior, Tom Ford, Saint Laurent and even their own brand called the Jamestown Eyewear. The business stocks as many as 16,000 different frames at any given time. The business has locations in Petaluma, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Sarmentine bakery to open soon in Petaluma
Sarmentine Artisan Boulanger, with popular bakeries in Santa Rosa and Sebastopol, is coming to Petaluma. Late last year, it was announced that the acclaimed bread and pastry maker would be taking over the space on Petaluma Boulevard that recently housed Ambrosia Indian Cuisine. Previous to Ambrosia, the space (near the corner of the Boulevard and Payran) has been home to Mike’s at the Crossroad and Johnny Garlic’s.
4th of July celebrations feature local farmers markets
Nothing says Americana more than good ol' fashioned picnics on the Fourth of July. Growing up in West Marin, we would pack a bunch of food and head out to the beach to join our local community to break bread, swim and enjoy an early evening bonfire as soon as the fog started to roll in. Now that I live in Sonoma County, there are so many fun things to do to celebrate the Fourth of July. Living in Kenwood, there is the world's cutest parade and pancake breakfast.
