TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State left-hander Jared Spencer was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 14th round of the 2024 MLB Draft. Spencer (Pick: 432) marks the 17th Indiana State baseball player drafted since 2014 and 93rd Sycamore to be taken in the MLB Draft since 1965. He joins fellow draftees Randal Diaz (Washington Nationals - 5th Round, Pick 141) and Luke Hayden (Cincinnati Reds – 8th Round, Pick 239) as the third Sycamore picked on over the three-day draft.

2023-24 Sycamores earn NABC Academic Excellence awards
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The 2023-24 Indiana State men's basketball team earned another award from the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches), announced on Monday. The Sycamores earned the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, which recognizes men's basketball programs that completed the 2023-24 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior, and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2023-24 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
