Illinois Comptroller says embroiled Village of Dolton is refusing legally-required audit
DOLTON, Ill. (CBS) -- New financial problems have surfaced in south suburban Dolton—having to do with taxpayer money and the village's failure to let people know where it is being spent.According to the State of Illinois, Mayor Tiffany Henyard's administration not only refuses to get an audit done, but also won't even communicate with the state agency tasked with the job of watching over government spending.The office in question is that of Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza—and Dolton is now on that office's radar."There are obvious red flags that your station other stations have covered," said Comptroller's office spokesman Abdon Pallasch....

(Robinson) – Rides Mass Transit has announced a new “in town” route in Robinson. According to Regional Supervisor of Rides Mass Transit District, Meredith Cornwell, the “Maroon Route” is ADA-compliant like all of the Rides Mass Transit routes and has been developed to be at specific places at specific times. Vigo County Sheriff Names New Chief Of Operations
Terre Haute, In. – Vigo County Sheriff Derk Fell has named Lt. Jim Palmer to fill his position as Vigo County Sheriff Department Chief of Operations effective immediately. Palmer has been a member of the department since 1999. He has served in K-9 Division, Criminal Investigations, The Vigo County Drug Task Force, the Vigo County Criminal Activity Task Force, and was assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration as a task force officer. He also was the Assistant Reserve Coordinator, Assistant Commander of the Vigo County Criminal Activity Team, a supervisor with the Vigo County Drug Task Force, wage committee chairman, a team leader on the Vigo County Drone Team, and recently joined the Honor Gaurd Team and served as Leuiteneant of Criminal Investigations. He has also been a member of the Vigo County Emergency Response Team.
