First Warn Forecast: Thursday afternoon storms leave storm damage in parts of Kansas City area
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A cold front has officially dropped down into the Missouri River Valley, but with areas of high-pressure on both sides of the front, rain chances will be limited through the area today. An isolated shower or a brief weaker thunderstorm is possible starting at 1 or 2 p.m. and is expected to continue from 6:30 to 7 tonight. Once again, not everyone will see an opportunity for rainfall. This will be a limited event across the region.

The US National Weather Service has issued a forecast predicting a widespread heatwave from August 1-7. KCPD, community groups walk deadliest streets in hopes of sparking change
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Officers and community partners walked the deadliest streets to try and curb recent violence. On Wednesday, 50 officers with the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department went door to door in the area surrounding Prospect Avenue asking residents what they are seeing and what they want to see changed. “Unfortunately, I think it’s gotten more violent,” said Major Marisa Barnes with KCPD.
