Laurel's Fourth of July parade brings out the crowds
Thousands of people, decked out in red, white and blue, lined Main Street for the annual Fourth of July parade in Laurel on Thursday. Led by the Grand Marshal Jodi Mackay, of Molly & Friends, the parade featured dozens of floats, and first-responder and police and sheriff vehicles. Parade-goers were lined up for hours before the start of the parade at 11 a.m.

Hornets Win Championship Of Minor Baseball League
The Hornets fought off the Fox Ford team, 16-10, in Wolf Point’s Minor League baseball championship game on Wednesday, June 26. A two-run home run by Matthew Nasner helped Fox Ford take a 4-3 lead in the game’s opening inning. Fox Ford increased its advantage to 9-5 in the second inning.

It was supper time for the 406 Rodeo bucking bulls, horses and ponies at the Polson rodeo grounds. Spotted, black, grey, bay and brown animals all stared at a big bale of hay on the other side of the fence, drawn as if to a tasty green magnet. Mission Mountain Rodeo draws good crowd
Audience members flocked to the Mission Mountain Rodeo on Friday and Saturday nights. Attendance was up, according to Polson Fairgrounds Inc. secretary Una Rose Graham. The trigger for angling closures typically happens when the temperature of a waterbody reaches 73 degrees F for three consecutive days. However, some closures can occur at lower temperatures depending on the species being protected.
