SHELBYVILLE, MI – The Gun Lake Tribe recently raised the final major piece of the water tower adjacent to the tribe’s government campus in Shelbyville. The final piece added to the tower was its one-million-gallon water tank, emblazoned with the logo of the tribe. Groundbreaking for the elevated water tower took place in June 2023 as a blessing and water ceremony, with the project scheduled to be complete and operational by the end of this year.
