Meeting Brief: July 15 City of Kalamazoo Committee of the Whole
Daniel Gundersen and Alexandra Tranmer of Camoin associates presented the first draft of the Economic Development Strategy developed for the CIty of Kalamazoo. The proposal was created with input from the Commission and the community but consideration will continue. Demolition begins on WMU’s student center

Demolition started earlier this week on the university’s landmark Bernhard Center, 1903 W Michigan Ave. The building used to be the university’s student center until a new student center opened in August 2023 across the main plaza from the Bernhard Center.
