Historic Flood Wall in Wheeling gets painted
The flood memorial wall at the corner of Virginia and S. Penn streets on Wheeling Island continues to receive a significant facelift. The City contracted Angelina Stone and Marble to clean out the mortar joints and repoint the brick. Wheeling Heritage is overseeing the repainting of the wall, which will include the addition of the five most recent flood dates and water levels, ensuring the memorial remains an accurate and poignant record of the area's flood history.
