Heddy’s Haven ribbon-cutting at Boonville Fair
BOONVILLE — On Monday, July 8, a ribbon-cutting was held at the Boonville-Oneida County Fair for Heddy’s Haven, a sensory retreat for those who may have a sensory processing disorder or for those that get overstimulated. Sensory processing disorder is a condition that affects how your brain processes sensory information. This usually means you are overly sensitive to things you smell, touch, hear, and taste. The haven is named after the late Heather “Heddy” Hutchinson, who participated in many Boonville Autism walks over the years.
