MARTINSVILLE, Ind. — A truck tipped over on Interstate 69 southbound near Martinsville Monday afternoon, causing traffic tie-ups for hours.

According to a post on the Martinsville Fire Department’s Facebook page , MFD and Martinsville Police Department units were dispatched to I-69 southbound near mile marker 138 around 1:58 p.m. on a report of crash involving a semi.

Per MFD, the driver of the semi struck a Scorpion Attenuator that was mounted to a highway construction vehicle, which caused his truck to flip on its side. The semi’s driver was transported from the scene to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

As of 7 p.m. Monday, southbound lanes of I-69 were still closed while I-70 Towing and Graham’s Wrecker Service cleaned up the crash.
