Sacred Spaces of CARE Seeking Donations for Back-to-School Giveaways
ALTON - Sacred Spaces of CARE is collecting money and supplies for back-to-school giveaways. On Saturday, July 27, 2024, the nonprofit will be at the Alton Police Department to give out supplies alongside Highways of Holiness. From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Sacred Spaces will be handing out wellness supplies like journals, stress balls, fidget toys and more.

It would require the U.S. Department of the Interior's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement to provide a report to Congress on the steps they’ve taken to prevent coal mining sites from caving in.
School planning for the next 50 years
Mississippi Valley Christian School in Alton will celebrate 50 years this year and is planning for the next chapter in its history.
