Baldwin preparing for shot at Olympic glory
EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State graduate student Heath Baldwin is continuing his preparation for the decathlon at the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics. The former Hackett Catholic standout, who won three state track titles in 2019 for the Irish, qualified for the Paris Games with a victory at last month's U.S. Olympic Trials in Oregon. Baldwin finished first in the 19-athlete field with a personal-best score of 8,625.
2026 QB Michael Clayton: MSU Stand with Top Target
Quarterback Michael Clayton of Seminole High School is emerging as a top target for the Michigan State Spartans football team in 2026, with offers from 26 programs including Auburn, Miami, Iowa, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech. Clayton, a 6-foot-3.5 signal-caller, is ranked 31st among quarterbacks and 359th overall in the 2026 class.
