It marked the first $1 million a year for life prize won in the Massachusetts State Lottery 's new $50 scratch ticket game, which was launched in February. The grand prize was won on a Lifetime Millions scratch ticket game.

July's winner opted to take the $15.4 million lump sum. They plan on using their new fortune to buy a new car, travel and help out their family.
