    71-year-old man killed during motorcycle crash in Wythe County

    WYTHE COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) – Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle that occurred July 2.

    VSP says around 3:05 p.m. a 2020 Harley Davidson Tri Glide driven by 71-year-old Fred H. Stowers of Max Meadows was traveling west on Max Meadows Road when he was hit at the intersection of Route 11 by a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 heading north.

    The collision caused Stowers’ motorcycle to spin and flip over multiple times.

    Tennessee man killed after rear-ending tractor-trailer on I-81S in Roanoke County

    Stowers was taken to the hospital for treatment but later died from his injuries. Police say he was wearing a helmet.

    The driver of the Dodge, 69-year-old Charlie S. Hudson of Draper was not injured.

    VSP says the investigation is ongoing and charges are currently pending against Hudson.
