PHOTOS: St. Andrews youth baseball camp day two
The St. Andrews Knights baseball program hosted day two of a four-day camp at Laurinburg Optimist Park on Tuesday, the second of three baseball camps this summer. Head Coach Andy Fox was joined by Scotland County High School Head Coach Ricky Shattauer and SAU Assistant Coaches Charles Weber III, Matt Polak and J.R. Polak.
St. Andrews to host sanctioned disc golf tournament on July 20
LAURINBRUG —St. Andrews University will be hosting their first ever sanctioned disc golf tournament on Saturday, July 20 with the St. Andrews Showdown set to be held at 1700 Dogwood Mile St. in Laurinburg on the Freedaddy Disc Golf Course. Tee times are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with registration ending at 8 a.m. on the 20th.
N.C. Junior Dixie Boys State Tournament: Lumberton 8, Bladen County 1
WINNABOW – Lumberton defeated Bladen County 8-1 Monday in a winner’s bracket game in the 2024 North Carolina Junior Dixie Boys State Tournament at Town Creek Park. Bladen County receives a bye Tuesday and will play the loser of Tuesday’s Lumberton/Columbus County game Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in an elimination game.
