Motorcyclist killed in Ames crash Sunday afternoon
An individual passed away Sunday in Ames as a result of a motorcycle crash. The Ames Police Department and the Ames Fire Department responded to the area of Bloomington Road and Top O Hollow Road around 4 p.m. for a crash with injury. The adult driver of the motorcycle was found in the roadway when first responders arrived.
Polk County Crash Claims Two Lives
(Polk County) Two people died in a single-vehicle crash in Polk County. The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 7:20 a.m. on Saturday on eastbound Interstate 80 near the 134-mile marker. Authorities say the driver, 65-year-old William L. Engel, and his passenger, 58-year-old Rose A. Engel, both from Cookville, Texas, died in the crash.

Ames Police investigate fatal motorcycle accident
(Ames, Iowa) – Officials with the Ames Police Department said today (Monday, Officers and Ames Fire Department personnel responded at around 4:03-p.m. Sunday, June 30th, to a motorcycle crash with injuries. The crash occurred in the area of Bloomington Road and Top O Hollow Road. First responders arrived to find a crashed motorcycle and the adult driver injured in the roadway. The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital and pronounced deceased. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Iowa State University has agreed to pay $3.5 million to the family of a student-athlete who drowned nearly three years ago while practicing with his rowing team.
