Wellington High School to offer Aviation Maintenance Technician course
Sumner Newscow report — Wellington High School is announcing a new partnership with Wichita State University Campus of Applied Sciences and Technology, i.e. WSU Tech, to offer students a unique opportunity to earn a Technical Certificate in Aviation General through the Kansas Choose Aerospace program. Starting in August 2024, this program sets students on a path to obtaining their A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) license and eventually an AMT (Aviation Maintenance Technician) degree from WSU Tech.
