Mayfield and the Graves County region will celebrate Independence Day on Thursday, July 4, and subsequent days with events in the city and surrounding areas. Jennifer Walker, the Executive Director of Mayfield-Graves County Tourism Commission, said she hopes the festivities promote a “safe, celebratory Fourth of July” for everyone in the community.

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - Authorities say a man convicted of crimes related to a large theft ring was found with numerous firearms and ammunition in his home. According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, 52-year-old Christopher E. Wallace of Lynnville, Kentucky was arrested Tuesday afternoon after Kentucky Probation and Parole Officers and sheriff’s detectives searched his home and found hundreds of rounds of ammunition, numerous rifles, shotguns and handguns.
