PBS to Film Documentary at Chautauqua Institution
Chautauqua Institution will be partnering with PBS to film an hour-long documentary, starting in August. The documentary, titled "Chautauqua at 150: Wynton Marsalis' All Rise," will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Chautauqua and aim to tell the institution's story through its current patrons and partners, including past performers and speakers. Chautauqua spokesperson Jill McCormick says filming will begin August 17th at the start of the final week of this season...

(WNY News Now) – Jamestown -A riveting new radio documentary, “10,000 Maniacs: Can’t Ignore the Train,” will soon hit the airwaves, offering an intimate look into the early days of Jamestown’s iconic band, 10,000 Maniacs. This four-part series, produced by Crying Out Loud Productions and WRFA, is set to premiere on WRFA 107.9 FM on Friday, July 26th at 6 p.m.

I left you last time telling about my having met Louise. That first week of 1957 began with both Louise and myself working in the cafeteria on the campus of Fredonia State Teachers College. After the noon meal one day, she had been walking across a mowed grass field from the cafeteria at Gregory Hall to Maple Avenue. I lived at a private home on Maple Avenue at the time, and she lived in the women’s dormitory named Alumni Hall on Central Avenue. Her place was a short distance past Maple Avenue, so we had both been headed in the same direction.
