Charges filed in Logan Square hit-and-run that left father of 4 dead
CHICAGO — Charges have been filed in a hit-and-run crash that left a father of four dead in Logan Square last year. Leonardo Franco-Salgado was riding his motorized scooter southbound on Pulaski Road around 2:20 a.m. on October 1 when the driver of a silver Honda Civic barreled through a red light and struck him at 61 mph, officials said. Franco-Salgado, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene.

CHICAGO (TCN) -- A 16-year-old and 17-year-old have been arrested and charged with murder on suspicion of killing a former police officer who was standing in his front yard. According to the Chicago Police Department, on June 20 at around 11:30 a.m., the two teens were reportedly walking on the 4300 block of West Monroe Street when they approached 73-year-old Larry Neuman and shot him.
