McCook MNB Bank Seniors Tournament Recap
Miles Pollmann struck out 11 batters as the starting pitcher led McCook MNB Seniors past Buckley Bombers 6-2 on Saturday. Pollmann allowed four hits and one run over five innings while walking four. McCook MNB Seniors got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Pollmann singled, Buckley committed an error, Tristan Campbell walked, and Espn Hall walked, each scoring one run. A line out by Campbell extended the McCook MNB Seniors lead to 5-1 in the bottom of the second inning. Caleb Garcia took the loss for Buckley Bombers. The starting pitcher went five innings, surrendering six runs (four earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking nine. Simon Garcia appeared in relief for McCook MNB Seniors. Pollmann went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead McCook MNB Seniors in hits. Hall, Pollmann, Campbell, and Quentin Terry each drove in one run for McCook MNB Seniors. McCook MNB Seniors had patience at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Trey Tiller, Hall, and Campbell led the team with two bases on balls each. McCook MNB Seniors were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Terry had the most chances in the field with 12.
