Publix Keeps Growing in Florida: The Next Store--Where and When

    User-posted content

The Publix supermarket chain operates over 1375 stores in 8 southern states. Given the fact that the company was founded in Winter Haven and headquartered in Florida, it is not surprising that over 870 of the company's 1300+ locations are in the Sunshine State. The Publix website indicates that a new store is coming to the state shortly.

The 46K+ square foot store at 7064 Waterset Blvd, Apollo Beach (Hillsborough County) is scheduled for a grand opening on June 13th. The new market will have a pharmacy. Apollo Beach is located just south of Tampa along I-75.

Founded in 1930 by George Jenkins, Publix is one of the top 10 largest volume supermarket chains in America. It is also the largest employee-owned company in the U.S.

    What do you Think?

    Where should Publix go next?
