Harbor Freight: New Store Coming to Colorado Springs

Harbor Freight Tools has announced plans for a new retail store in El Paso County. A recent press release indicates that the new location will be at 5677 Barnes Road, Colorado Springs. The new store will bring the total to 22 in the state. They now operate over 1500 stores nationwide.

Harbor Freight is a privately held company, owned by founder Eric Smidt . They opened their first retail store in Lexington, Kentucky in 1980. Before that, the company operated under the name of Harbor Freight Tool and Salvage, operating out of North Hollywood, California.

The new Colorado Springs location is set for a grand opening on August 3rd. The store is expected to bring 25-30 new jobs to the community.
