Luke Fiedler held Mobridge in check as Selby Post 100 16U defeated Mobridge Teeners 16U Crusaders 10-3 at Legion Memorial Field on Monday. Three days of the 79th Sitting Bull Stampede action highlights the Fourth of July celebration in Mobridge this week. The Stampede runs nightly July 2-4 with performances at 7:30 p.m. Slack is at 9 a.m. on July 3 and 4. The three-day rodeo comes to a glamorous ending with the annual fireworks display that will light up the sky after the July 4 performance.

SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 62-6 The School Board for the Mobridge- Pollock School District No. 62-6 convened pursuant to due notice at 5:30 pm., Monday, June 24, 2024, in special session at the Mobridge-Pollock School High School Library. The following members attended Travis Henderson, Levi Jensen, Chris Fried, Eric Stroeder, and Dustin Jahraus. Also in attendance were Superintendent Frederick, Business Manager Schneider, Jesse Konold, and Jay Davis. Chairman Stroeder convened the board for its special session by leading the Pledge to the Flag. Motions are unanimously passed unless otherwise stated.

June 21, Peg Van Beek went with Matt Van Leier to Oahe Sunset to have supper with Darel Haak’s family, Jason Haak’s family, Marilyn and Florian Voller, Becky Leier and little girls and Dennis Haak. Following the meal, they all went to the Pollock Community Center dining room to celebrate Marilyn’s retirement from working at the Strasburg Care Center.
