Plane crashes in Land O' Lakes Sunday, passengers escape with minor injury
LAND O' LAKES, Wis. - An airplane crashed in the area of County Highway B and the Land O' Lakes Post Office on Sunday. At approximately 11:15 a.m., the Vilas County 911 Center received reports of the plane crashing shortly after taking off, operated by a 67-year-old woman from Watersmeet.
MSP looking for juvenile runaway, last seen in Bruce Crossing
ALGER COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – Troopers from the Michigan State Police Negaunee Post are looking for a juvenile who ran away from their residence on Friday evening. The juvenile is 17-year-old female, Jozelyn Gabrielle Warmack. She is described as 5’9″, 170 lbs, and having brown hair and hazel eyes. She has both ear and nose piercings, along with two tattoos above her knee on her thighs and one tattoo on her chest. It is unknown what she was wearing at the time she ran away.

Storm damage
A flash flood on June 18 caused the bridge on the Quarry Bay Trail to wash out. The bridge, along with other debris, traveled downstream and into Quarry Bay, east of the dock. As a result, the trail connecting Presque Isle to Quarry Bay on Stockton Island will be temporarily closed for repairs. The Quarry Bay dock remains open; however, mariners should watch for debris in this area and use caution when approaching the dock. Veteran Center hosts first spaghetti fundraiser
The Land O’ Lakes Veterans Center recently held their first Spaghetti & Meatball benefit at the Veterans Center in downtown Land O’ Lakes. Hosted by April the Tipsy Housewife, volunteers worked diligently to serve everyone in attendance. In addition to spaghetti and meatballs, a variety of desserts were served as well as wine, beer and soft drinks.
