Mebane pair sexually assaulted woman in her car, Alamance County deputies say

MEBANE, N.C. (WGHP) — Two men from are facing charges for physically and sexually assaulting a woman, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office says.

According to a press release, on Wednesday, detectives were notified of an alleged assault on a female. The victim was being treated when detectives were called.

While they were investigating, the victim told detectives the assault happened in her vehicle, where she was physically and sexually assaulted and strangled.

On Thursday, Luther Fitzgerald Enoch, 43, of Mebane and Bradley Scott Briggs, 40, of Mebane were each charged with one count felony first-degree rape, one count felony first-degree kidnapping, one count felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury and one count felony assault by strangulation.

Both were taken to the Alamance County Detention Center where they were given no bond.
