Train derailment in Fredericksburg, Virginia, police investigate
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Crews have been working tirelessly for the last 24 hours to remove the train that derailed in Fredericksburg, Saturday night. Officials say as of Sunday afternoon all but one of the five cars have been removed. CSX took over the investigation and says all train cars should be removed and rerailed between 8pm and midnight.

Richmond spokesperson received $14K in severance pay
Former city spokesperson Petula Burks received more than $14,000 in severance pay when she left her position earlier this month. Burks departed amid questions about her use of a city credit card and after she’d been named in a whistleblower lawsuit. White House awards Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority $2.5M to lower housing costs in Va.
VIRGINIA (WFXR)– The White House recently announced $325 million in funding from the Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant to seven communities across the country to build more homes and revitalize neighborhoods that have been left behind. One community receiving funding includes the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA), which received $2.5 million to help lower housing costs in Virginia.
