Distracted Driving Suspected in Hopkinton Head-On Crash
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Distracted driving is said to be the possible cause of a head-on crash in Hopkinton Sunday afternoon. Two people from Rhode Island are in a hospital following the wreck in which a Milford man was driving southbound on Cedar Street near Legacy Farms North when police allege, he got distracted, swerved and overcorrected, and then went into the northbound lane and slammed into the other car. The Daily News reports the Milford man has only minor injuries and so far, no charges have been filed against him.
Milford Man Airflown to Worcester Hospital Following Early Morning Stabbing; Police Investigation Underway
A violent early morning incident in Milford has left one man with severe injuries following a stabbing yesterday. According to WHDH, at around 4 a.m., Milford police were dispatched to Purchase Street after receiving numerous distress calls. The emergency personnel located the man on the ground, notably bleeding from an apparent laceration.
Milford Police Investigate Incident on Purchase Street
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Milford Police are releasing very little information about an incident that closed Purchase Street near Mechanic for several hours Monday morning. They say several calls came into 911 around 4am about a man on the ground bleeding from a laceration. The man had to be flown to UMass Memorial Hospital where he is said to be in stable but serious condition. Milford and State Police Detectives are investigating but have not given any information as to how the man was hurt or if they are looking for any suspects.

Brockton Public Schools names new principals of Baker School, Kennedy School
BROCKTON - Baker Elementary School and Kennedy Elementary School will each have new principals next school year, Brockton Public Schools announced last week. Jane Werb will take over as principal at the Baker School and Kelly Kistler will serve as principal of the Kennedy School, according to a July 11 press release from Brockton Public Schools.
Officer hospitalized after being hit by car while responding to call in Dorchester
A Boston police officer was hospitalized late Tuesday night after they were hit by a car while responding to a call in Dorchester. Officers responded to Stanton Street around 11:37 p.m. for multiple people with firearms. Boston police say one of the suspects struck a responding officer with their car while driving away from the scene. The officer’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening. They were transported to a nearby hospital. Two suspects were arrested, Boston police say.
