Swifties Point to Cryptic Instagram Photo As Taylor Swift’s ‘Low-Key’ Endorsement of Kamala Harris

Hours before a terrorist threat canceled three Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna, Austria, the superstar pop singer posted a few photos from her Eras Tour on Instagram — and some Swifties tried to read her political tea leaves .

On Wednesday, Swift posted a gallery of photos from her concert in Poland, expressing how much she was looking forward to her Vienna shows. But one photo in particular included a familiar-looking figure in silhouette:

Behind Swift, in the shadows — is that be-suited woman supposed to look like Vice President Kamala Harris ?

Social media users pounced, claiming it was a “low-key” endorsement of Harris even though Swift has not publicly endorsed any candidate in the 2024 race. However, she famously did endorse President Joe Biden (and Harris) in 2020 after years of staying mostly mum on her own political leanings. (Before that, in 2018, she spoke out against Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn from her home state of Tennessee, saying, “Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me.”)

Fox News also pounced , with anchor Harris Faulkner telling Swift to “just perform” and stay out of politics after the speculation began.

But it was all speculation as of Thursday. Neither Swift nor her team have provided a response to what her fans and critics are saying about her potential weigh-in on the 2024 election.

However, a Swiftie on staff at Mediaite explained that the woman in the suit is simply part of the show. Swift’s dancers for her song “The Man” wear suits, as pictured above.
