Kamala Harris Drops New Ad Revealing Fact About Her College Days That Is NOT A Whopper

Vice President Kamala Harris is out with a new campaign ad that reveals something millions of Americans might not have known — she was once a colleague of theirs at a ubiquitous fast food chain.

More than 2 million people work at a McDonald’s restaurant worldwide, and many more millions of Americans and others — including at least one Mediaite writer — count themselves as Mickey D’s alumni.

In a new ad entitled “Knows” that highlights the VP’s roots, Harris’s background is revealed to include she is one of them:

NARRATOR: She grew up in a middle class home. She was the daughter of a working mom. And she worked at McDonald’s while she got her degree.

Kamala Harris knows what it’s like to be middle class.

It’s why she’s determined to lower healthcare costs and make housing more affordable.

Donald Trump has no plan to help the middle class—just more tax cuts for billionaires.

Being president is about who you fight for, and she’s fighting for people like you.

The ad’s release included a statement from Harris-Walz Senior Spokesperson Lauren Hitt:

Being president is about who you fight for. Vice President Harris is the daughter of a working mother and worked at a McDonald’s to put herself through college. She knows what middle class families go through. Now, she’s running for president to make it easier for families to not just get by, but get ahead. As president, Harris’ top priority will be taking on corporate greed to lower costs. Donald Trump, on the other hand, is running to give more handouts to his ultra-wealthy friends at the expense of working Americans. That’s the contrast voters are going to see between now and Election Day.

Former President Donald Trump also worked for McDonald’s, in a manner of speaking. He shared the screen with purple mascot Grimace in a 2002 TV commercial .

He also famously ordered McDonald’s takeout for a White House event honoring the Clemson Tigers, and is known to be a fan of the chain’s rapid cuisine.
