Greg Gutfeld Awestruck By Softball Trump-Musk Interview: ‘Trump Knows Everything Musk Is Talking About’

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld appeared to be left in awe of former President Donald Trump’s handling of his softball interview with X owner Elon Musk late Monday, as he marveled at Trump’s “equal footing” to Musk on topics like Artificial Intelligence and Energy.

Gutfeld, for one, was impressed by the conversation, marred by technical issues that delayed kick-off by 40 minutes , as Musk teed up questions on Trump’s key campaign trail topics like immigration and inflation.

Musk’s line also offered Trump the opportunity to attack Democratic rival Kamala Harris and repeat false claims that the 2020 presidential election was rigged and that his legal trouble was a “conspiracy” by the Biden administration against him.

The pair touched on other topics , including Trump’s call for an Iron Dome missile defense system similar to Israel’s and his musings about dissolving the federal Department of Education. Trump, who has been critical of electric vehicles, praised Musk’s EV company, Tesla, saying he had “no choice” but to support the business because of Musk’s endorsement.

During the chat, Gutfeld weighed in on X: “The most consequential technical genius perhaps ever and the most consequential political figure are talking about stuff on equal footing, and Trump knows everything Musk is talking about.”

He added, “Trump knows everything Musk is talking about concerning energy, artificial intelligence, and economic development. No politician could energetically engage on future problems like this.”

Elsewhere, however, listeners were less enamored as Musk repeatedly offered praise for Trump and expressed sympathy for his views without challenge.

Ahead of the event, Musk made it clear that his intention was not to conduct an “adversarial” interview but rather to help “open-minded, independent voters” “catch a vibe.”
