Jesse Watters Shows Kamala Harris’s Birth Certificate to Prove She ‘Didn’t Grow Up in Oakland’

Fox News host Jesse Watters claimed Vice President Kamala Harris’s birth certificate is proof that she’s lying about growing up in Oakland.

On Sunday, The New York Times posted a report about the vice president’s upbringing. While she’s repeatedly referenced growing up in Oakland, her birth certificate lists an apartment near in Berkeley, California. In the report, someone in Harris’s old neighborhood theorized that she may have distanced herself from Berkeley because of its “reputation for being on the far left.”

“Oh, people would definitely think Berserkeley!” resident Anna Natille told The New York Times . “We have such a reputation for being on the far left, that we’re all a bunch of communists and socialists.”

Watters believes the confusion regarding her childhood shows she can’t be trusted.

“Did you know that Kamala Harris didn’t grow up in Oakland as she always said she did?” he said on Jesse Watters Primetime . “Kamala Harris grew up in Berkeley, the ‘People’s Republic of Berkeley,’ ‘Berserkeley’, the most insanely liberal precinct in America. Her birth certificate lists an apartment right next to Berkeley’s campus. It’s a half block south of People’s Park, which is basically ground zero for every single radical protest movement. Kamala attended Berkeley public schools and was even bussed to Berkeley public schools.

“Remember ‘that little girl was me’? If you lie about where you grew up, which is at the core of who you are, people can’t trust you. Maybe one day she’ll be asked about it or maybe not.”

As some viewers pointed out on social media, Berkeley and Oakland are right next to one another in the same county — making it entirely possible that Harris could have spent much in her childhood there.
