Tim Walz Goes on a Tear Against MAGA Wanting a Government That’s ‘Small Enough to Be In Your Bedroom’

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz ripped former President Donald Trump and the GOP on Monday, stating that Republicans are a bunch of busybodies looking to control people’s personal lives.

The Minnesota governor and Vice President Kamala Harris have hit Trump over his appointment of three of the Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade and the constitutional right to abortion in 2022. Trump has repeatedly bragged about the achievement. Speaking at a rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Walz also slammed Trump for wanting to give wealthy Americans large tax cuts, as he did while president in 2017.

Walz referred to a viral clip of Trump from last year in which the former president promised more tax cuts for the wealthy.

“But you got to help them financially because you are all people that have a LOT of money! I know 20 of you, and you’re rich as HELL!” Trump told a gathering at his sprawling residence in Florida.

“At the same time, he was telling workers they get paid too much already,” Walz said. “That’s who this guy is. You tell me who in Wisconsin is sitting around saying, ‘ Damn, I wish they’d give me tax cuts and screw me over. Damn, I wish they’d take my healthcare away. I wish they’d underfund my public school. I wish they would make my job more difficult and more dangerous. And then at the end of the day, I wish they’d make me work until I’m 75 years old.’ No one’s saying that! No one’s asking for that agenda!”

The governor then pivoted to freedom and said Republicans like Trump and his running mate JD Vance want to invade people’s privacy.

“I remember a time when Republicans talked about things like freedom, they meant it,” he continued. “But that’s not these guys. Trump and Vance, when they talk about freedom, means government should have the freedom to invade every corner of our life. They talk about small government, small enough to be in your bedroom, small enough to be in your exam room, small enough to be in your library, telling you the things you should make decisions about.”

Walz added, “Mind your own damn business!”
