Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed CNN as a “wholly-owned subsidiary” of the Democratic Party after its recent interview with Vice President Kamala Harris and mocked host Dana Bash for her questions.

During Bash’s interview with Harris on Thursday , she questioned the Democratic presidential nominee and her running mate, Tim Walz , on a variety of topics, including past policy positions, if she would be willing to appoint a Republican to her Cabinet, the economy, former President Donald Trump’s attacks on her racial identity, and Walz’s past comments about his military service.

Cruz appeared on Fox News to speak with host Sean Hannity and was less than impressed with what he claimed was a fawning, softball interview . The Republican senator drew laughter as he questioned how the interview constituted journalism.

How would those interview questions have been different if the ‘interview’ was conducted by Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary? Everything Dana Bash said is exactly what Kamala Harris’ campaign wanted her to say. It was, ‘Madame Vice President: ‘Tell us how you will help jobs. Madame Vice President.’ ‘Tell us all the wonderful things you will do to secure the border. Madam Vice President.’ Tell us, do you like kittens more or do you like puppies more? And Madam Vice President, let me close with showing an image of your grandniece gazing adoringly on you. You are a historic transformational figure. Oh, let me clutch my heart.’

That is theoretically a journalist? CNN, the entire endeavor is literally a wholly-owned subsidiary of the DNC and it was a complete laughingstock what they did.
